Aigües or Aguas de Busot is a colourful charming village located at 300 mts altitude in the fascinating mountain landscape of Alicante only 10 km from the beach of El Campello and 38 km from Alicante’s – Elche international airport, through highway A-7.
Aigües, which is the Valencian for “waters”, has its name from the existence of the wellness of the Cabeço d’Or. The source of the river Aigües is located there. The hydrothermal process enriches the water source with a significant amount of iron and sulfur, which also explains the medicinal qualities of the water.
The proximity to the sea, the provincial capital Alicante ( 24 km ), the touristic Benidorm ( 40 km), the Bonalba Golf course (17 km), the surrounding nature, the calm and sunny climate all year, makes Aigües an ideal place, to live or to spend lovely peaceful holidays.
Aigües has 3 hotels and offers restaurants, grocery shops, medical care center, sport complex and has an excellent hiking club.
The annual celebration of “Moors and Christians” which takes place during the last week of August is one of the most important events of the year. During this week you will be viewing fantastic parades, street entertainment, activities for children, live music etc.
